Sizing for vintage clothing can differ from the sizing we see today and sometimes the tags in vintage clothing are missing or too faded to read. To best determine fit I take various measurements of all the garments and footwear that I list, usually I start by measuring the shoulders, armpits, waist and length on coats, shirts, and dresses. For jeans and pants I will measure the waist, hips, top of leg, leg opening at the bottom, inseam and rise. Size can also vary between brands and designers, the chart below is a standard chart of measurements
